Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup flour
  • 7 teaspoons water

Directions

Preheat your oven to 475°F. Place an oven rack in the upper third of the oven.

Prepare the Matzah:
  • Mix together flour and water until it makes a dough. The dough should be smooth and slightly tacky but not sticky. Add a little more water if needed.
  • Knead the dough flat.
  • To prevent bubbling, use a fork to prick the dough all over, creating a pattern of holes.
Bake:
  • Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 2-4 minutes per side, or until the matzah is crisp and lightly browned. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning, as matzah can go from golden to burnt quickly.
